General Description
Short-lived perennial. Stems erect, simple or branched, 30–60 cm. Herbage villous, non-aromatic. Leaves oblong, 2–4 cm long; ultimate segments deltoid, spine-tipped. Peduncles 4–12 cm long. Involucre 1–2 cm wide, sparsely villous. Rays 20 to 30; ligules yellow, fertile; ligules 6–12 mm long. Disk corolla 3–4 mm long. Achenes ca. 2 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012.
