General Description
Stoloniferous, mat-forming from a branched caudex. Stems erect, 4–20 cm. Basal leaves oblanceolate to linear-spatulate, 5–15 mm long, 1-nerved. Stem leaves linear, 7–15 mm long. Inflorescence corymbiform with 3 to 10 heads. Involucre: female 4–7 mm high; male 3–5 mm high. Phyllaries rounded, dirty white above dark brown below. Corolla female 3–4 mm long; male 2–3 mm long. Pappus 3–5 mm long. Achenes ca. 1 mm long, glabrous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
