Stems ascending to erect, simple, 20–60 cm. Herbage villous below, tomentose above. Leaves mainly cauline, sessile; blades ovate, 1–6 cm long, twice pinnately dissected; ultimate lobes ca. 1 mm long and wide. Inflorescence hemispheric 2–10 cm across with numerous heads. Involucre sparsely glandular, 2–3 mm high, ca. 2 mm wide; bracts in 2 series; outer bracts light green, scarious, villous. Rays white, 8 to 10; ligules 1–2 mm long, wider than long.
