General Description
The Brant breeds in the Canadian and Alaskan Arctic and winters along the Atlantic Coast from Massachusetts to North Carolina and along the Pacific Coast from Alaska to Baja California and northern Mexico (Lewis et al. 2013). In Montana, the Brant is an accidental spring and fall migrant (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
